WHAT IS DNA GROUP?
DNA Group is a group of 3-4 people of the same gender, – who meet together regularly in order to care deeply for one another, and are committed to becoming like Jesus together through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Once a DNA group starts, no new members can join, but this arrangement is only for a season. These groups are designed to cultivate deeper relationships, trust, and accountability, unlike other community groups.
DNA in our groups stands for:
D – Discipleship – deep relationships of care and concern for one another.
N – Nurturing – speaking encouragement and truth into each others lives.
A – Accountability – holding each other accountable with grace and love.
REGULAR MEETINGS
For a season of 11 sessions, you will spend each week reflecting on one of the 10 core values of Home Church NW. You’ll use the Scriptures to explore each value and reflect on your life along with setting reasonable goals of becoming a person of love – reflecting God’s character in your life more and more.
FIRST MEETING
Coordinate a time and place to meet this week that works for all of you.
Consider a place where you will not be distracted by others.
If you’re a parent in need of babysitting help, don’t hesitate to reach out to other members or ask your spouse.

- What steps can you take to build a stronger foundation in Christ, intellectually and emotionally?
- How do you think your faith journey will evolve as you continue to grow in your understanding of Christ?
Living it Out
Consider trying something new this week.
- Prayerfully consider something that will keep you rooted in Christ daily.
- Don’t set too high of a goal, begin with something small yet meaningful.
- Feel free to ask others to speak into your life or situation
- Do ask others in your group to pray for you as you commit to that.
- Feel free to request extra accountability throughout the week, as well as check in on others in your group.
Prayer
Bring to God the things that you have discussed, pray for one another. take turns praying or rotate who gets to pray over everyone each time.
Logistics
At your first meeting you will decide on a few things related to your group:
- Choose between 60-90 minutes sessions.
- Commit together to 10 sessions, prioritize them for the sake of others in your group.
- Plan ahead so that you avoid missing a session, and communicate frequently to ensure everyone is in sync.
- Create a message group (text-message is best) where you can communicate with each other throughout the weeks.
- Choose a location that would work for the whole group, feel free to adjust as you go from week to week. Make sure the location provides enough privacy for honest conversations.
THROUGHOUT THE WEEK
- Continue to pray for those in your group – specifically for what they requested and generally.
- Pray for God to put on your heart a word of blessing or encouragement for the people in your group.
- You can share this personally or when you come to the group.
- Reflect on the passage (and the core value).
- Follow through with your commitments to the group.
- Feel free to ask for extra accountability from each other throughout the week.
